Delaware Valley Grantmakers (DVG) is a membership association of regional philanthropists. DVG had previously commissioned a strategic planning and communications strategy but the project included goals but no specific path to achieve them. Iris Creative worked with DVG to develop a tactical strategy and specific marketing components:

How Iris Helped
DVG is a small nonprofit association with four staff members. After evaluating the goals of the communication strategy, Iris Creative reviewed all communications materials and processes and identified inconsistencies and pieces that no longer worked. It was also an opportunity to help the small staff streamline their efforts.
The result was an Action Plan that detailed new tools to replace or add to the communications efforts. The Action Plan determined that the most impact would be made by developing a new member kit that was flexible enough to use with both of the Association’s key member types – corporations and family funders.
A number of projects were outlined in the Action Plan to develop over the course of the next year. Iris worked with DVG to identify which projects would have the most impact and then continued on to develop these initial tools. Iris provided complete design and writing as well as creating editable templates that the staff could update in-house. This blend of finished and editable pieces creates a professional overall look that can be kept current inexpensively.
